I´m not sure why a pyro should use H3 to prime chlorate stars. These stars are usually very ignitable on their own (with a few exceptions e.g. barium chlorate ones, some potassium based ones) and the purpose of the coating is not the improved ignition but safety in terms of friction. Coating a sensitive chlorate star with another layer of chlorate composition (H3) makes little sense. Scratch mix (green mix) works very well with most chlorate stars and covers the chlorate under a layer of comparably insensitive BP comp. The resulting sulphur chlorate contact is negligible because the contact layer is not exposed. --AdmiralDonSnider 02:00, 19 April 2010 (EST)
